Obsolescence management for systems that must keep running.
When a manufacturer discontinues a part your product depends on, you have three choices: buy enough to last, find an equivalent, or redesign. We help you pick the right one and then carry it out.
How an obsolescence review works
Placeholder copy. Gavin supplies the final text for each capability page; the layout stays.
Review your bill of materials
We check every line for lifecycle status, last-time-buy dates and the number of sources still active.
Rank the risk
Each part is scored on how soon it goes and how hard it is to replace, so the effort goes where it matters.
Agree the plan
Last-time buy, approved alternative, or re-engineering. You get the costs side by side.
Carry it out and keep watching
We source and hold the stock, qualify the alternative, or do the redesign, then keep monitoring the list.
Legacy system support
Fault finding, spares and documentation recovery for control, test and embedded systems that are past their maker's support period.
Repair and refurbishment
Equipment repaired and tested in our workshop, returned with a test report. Refurbished items on the store go through the same process before they are listed.
FPGA re-hosting
Moving a design off an obsolete FPGA or ASIC onto a current device, on an adaptor or a drop-in board, so the rest of the system does not change.
Questions we are often asked
Can you supply parts that are not listed on the store?
Often, yes. The store lists only a selection. Send the part number and quantity and we check our stock and trusted sources.
How do you avoid counterfeit parts?
Placeholder answer: we buy from franchised distributors and traceable surplus, inspect on arrival and keep lot records. Final wording to be confirmed by Glideology.
Can we pay by invoice?
Yes, for business accounts. Use Request a quote and we invoice as normal.
